- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): For overseas students studying in Australia, there is a health insurance plan called Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). It offers coverage for hospital stays, doctor bills, and other health-related concerns. Unless an exception occurs, having Overseas Student Health Coverage (OSHC) in Australia is a condition of your student visa. The Australian Government mandates that you maintain continuous OSHC for the period of your study visa to fulfill the requirements for a student visa and to be eligible for OSHC.
